Did you know?
For every 1 dog in a home, there are 2 on the street in India.
There are 3.1 crore pet dogs in India, and 6.2 crore streeties.
That’s 5.25 crore dogs on the road and 80 lakhs in shelters.
That’s the highest in the world. We are well above the global average - compared to other countries, we’re far behind.
Why is this a problem?
Why are strays a problem? Aren’t there bigger things to worry about?

- Disproportionately affects children and low-income communities
- Accidents on the roads with dogs
- Inhumane/cruel
